Il celebre chitarrista Jeff Beck è morto. La causa del deecesso sarebbe una meningite batterica. Il chitarrista, leggenda della musica rock, aveva 78 anni.

Jeff Beck è morto, e un pezzo di storia del rock se ne va con lui. Ha dato linfa vitale alla chitarra negli anni Sessanta, influenzando la nascista di movimenti come l’heavy metal, il jazz rock e il punk. Triste il messaggio di Mick Jagger: “Ci mancherà tantissimo“. E tanti messaggi continuano ad arrivare nell’ultime ore.
Il chitarrista aveva 78 anni ed è morto lo scorso martedì. Dal suo staff si apprende che è morto dopo “aver contratto all’improvviso una meningite batterica”. Una perdita che sconvolge tutti. “La sua famiglia chiede privacy nell’elaborare questa perdita tremenda”.
Il mondo della musica ricorda Jeff Beck
“Il guerriero a sei corde non è più tra noi per farci ammirare l’incantesimo che sapeva tessere intorno alle nostre emozioni mortali”, scrive Jimmy Page, che con Beck ha suonato negli Yardbirds. “Jeff sapeva canalizzare la musica dalla dimensione immateriale. La sua tecnica era unica. La sua immaginazione apparentemente illimitata. Jeff, mancherai a me e a milioni di fan”.
